Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use FlowPigment:

  • Account information — name and email address provided via Clerk authentication (Google, GitHub, or email sign-in).
  • Uploaded images — photos you submit for watercolor conversion. These are processed transiently; only images you explicitly save to your gallery are stored on our CDN.
  • Usage data — conversion counts and timestamps, used to enforce monthly quotas and display your dashboard analytics.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials.
  • Anonymous usage fingerprint — a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address combined with a browser-generated guest ID, used solely to enforce the free guest quota. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the watercolor conversion service
  • To enforce monthly usage limits and manage subscriptions
  • To store your gallery images on Cloudflare R2 CDN
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. subscription receipts) via Clerk
  • To prevent abuse of the free guest tier

3. Data Storage & Retention

Gallery images are stored on Cloudflare R2. When you delete an image or your account, the corresponding files are permanently deleted from our CDN and database. Guest usage fingerprints are automatically deleted after 48 hours via a MongoDB TTL index.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Clerk — authentication and user management
  • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting
  • Cloudflare R2 — image CDN storage
  • Razorpay — payment processing

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their policies.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the Dashboard → Account → Delete Account option, or by emailing privacy@flowpigment.com. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

6. Cookies

FlowPigment uses only essential cookies required for authentication (set by Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
